As usual we set up our mobile studio and invited guests to have their photos taken before viewing them on our monitor and choosing photographs to be printed in seconds.

A great night out set in a stunning outdoor marquee, with performers, magicians, buffett, auctions, raffle prizes, dancing and much more!

Prom photographers made up a custom designed green screen background file to tie in exactly with the Purples 1920′s Hollywood Ball theme.

Guests were invited to have their photograph taken against the green background, the pics were then processed straight away to reveal the 1920′s Hollywood themed background – and then displayed on our large monitor. Guests then choose the photos they liked to be printed in seconds.

Have you got a photographer booked for your prom yet?

Here are some tips and questions to ask that will help you in choosing a photographer for your prom:

• Do you like the photographer’s style of prom photography? - As photographers we believe this is one of the most important factors. Does the photographer take photos that you like? Have a look through their website. Styles range from very staged and posed boring type photos on a traditional background – right through to ultra modern, stylish, relaxed and fun photos on white or coloured backgrounds.




• Is the Photographer experienced in school prom photography? - This is essential as there are lots of different types of event photographers about that will say they do proms too. Find out if they have done lots of proms, as there is a big difference to photographing a school prom and dealing with 100′s of excited 15-16 year olds, and sitting at the side of a sports event taking photos.

• Does the photographer use a background and studio lighting? - Some photographers just go round with a camera taking snapshots at tables. Choosing a photographer that sets up a professional background and lighting system ensures you get amazing photos that will look fantastic.




• Choose a Photographer that prints the photos on site – not only will you be able to take the photos home with you on the night and not have to wait weeks, but you will also be able to look through the photos on a screen and choose the photos you like best. If you are not too keen on any of the photos, you can go back to the photographer and have some more taken.
• Is there a booking fee? - Photographers sometimes charge a booking fee just to attend your prom, so check with the photographer if this is the case.

Once you have a found a photographer you like, get them booked as popular dates tend to fill up quickly. Also make sure nobody else on the committee or a member of staff has already booked a photographer, as the last thing you want is two photographers turning up on the night (and yes it does happen!).

The video shows just a selection of the prom photography we have covered. It shows off our unique approach to photos on the night. All the photos are always displayed on a monitor so guests can choose the photographs they would like printed, and they are welcome to go back up and have more taken throughout the evening.

Did you see the photos of guests arriving to their prom by helicopter? Sometimes we think we have seen it all, however there are lots of unique ways to arrive at your prom. From BMX to horse drawn carriage, its not always about bigger and better but about arriving in a different style to everyone else.
